We make it easy to find and respond to press opportunities that are relevant to your business, background and expertise.
The easiest way to get press is to help a journalist who is already working on a story that is in your industry or on a topic you have experience with. Bitesize PR connects you with journalists who are working on those stories and need a comment or want to profile someone. By responding to these journalists, doing an interview or providing a quote you’ll get press when the journalist thinks you are a good fit for the story.
We monitor many kinds of press opportunities in all mediums, including print, digital, broadcast and podcast. Press opportunities are geared toward businesses and entrepreneurs, and topic areas range from broad to niche, as well as from industry to consumer press.
Unfortunately, entertainment media coverage such as artist profiles and reviews or event promotion do not fall within the context of our services. Our service works best for businesses, organizations and entrepreneurs.
Although our press opportunities do range from national to local, there is a large emphasis on national distribution. If you are looking for local coverage only, Bitesize PR may not be right for you.
Getting started is a super easy 3-step process: choose a plan, enter your billing information, and fill out your company profile. You can get started right here.
You will receive a confirmation email after signing up, and you’ll be able to see all the opportunities in real-time. When you see an opportunity that is a good fit, simply respond to the journalist. If the reporter thinks you’re a good match for their story, they will contact you directly.
1. Do a search in the search bar for keywords that are relevant to you.
2. Click “save search”
3. If you want to be alerted when any opportunity matches this keyword, click “create alert” and select your alert type.
There are two golden rules for pitch success: relevancy and timing. Media professionals scan through pitches quickly, looking for those that are professional, well-written and most relevant to their query. They will often go with the first few qualified sources that they come across. We take care of these key pitch advantages by monitoring press opportunities around the clock and connecting you to them as soon as they are available.
-Tell the journalist who you are and why you are credible to answer their request
– Don’t use buzzwords or empty adjectives when describing yourself like “cutting-edge” or “world class”.
– Be polite, yet professional.
– If there is a direct question, answer it.
– Provide a thoughtful and interesting response.
– Be as concise as possible.
Ultimately, the decision for who gets media placement is in the hands of the reporter – sometimes it takes awhile to get press as not all pitches get placement. The amount of press varies based on how good your responses are and how many you write. Responding with quality responses consistently will give you a really good chance of getting press.
